First off, get a VistaCruise for a Yamaha dual cable set-up. Next, grind, cut, and/or file off any tabs that exist on the VistaCruise so that it is basically flat (refer to the pictures).

Referring to the pictures, remove your throttle side grip and drill a small hole in the aluminum throttle housing and tap it (thread it) for any small flat head machine screw that is handy (I used an 8/32" stainless steel philips head). The screw you use should not be too long, because even though that part of the throttle housing is clear of moving parts, you don't want to push your luck.

Next, allowing for personal ergonomics and clearance of the gas tank at full right steering lock, drill and countersink an appropriate hole in the VistaCruise, lined up with the hole on your throttle housing.

Using some Loctite or weatherstrip adhesive, screw the VistaCruise to the throttle housing and you are done. Be sure to reinstall the thin plastic slider-washer before putting your grip back on, otherwise the grip may bind against the VistaCruise.

Mine works great, and in three years of operation I have had no problems.
