Givi Luggage on the TDMby Bill Johns, rider@pullman.comThe following pics are of my '92 TDM with Givi luggage. I've included shots of the bike with luggage and of the Wingrack frame empty. I got the frame model with the built-in turn signals. The side bags are the 45 l style while the top case is the 46 l Monokey model. I got this combination strictly for looks. The color is "anthracite." If you look at the tail pack above the handle you'll see a cut-out. A light goes in there that will operate with the brake light. I just didn't get it installed in the bag yet. A 45 l Givi bag will easily hold a complete Aerostich riding suit or 2 full-face helmets. Mounting the Wingrack was a bit of a bother. On the side shot you will see a small bracket that comes down from the frame very near the "0" of the 850 decal. That piece had a hole that was misdrilled by about an inch. I had to redrill to get it all together. The light set-up provided ample wires that worked without problem, hooking into the existing wiring. I had a bad reflector in one light. I thought the bulb mounting system a bit cheesy and surely not up to par with the high quality of the rest of the system. Still, it all went together in a straight forward manner. I am pleased with the set-up. Total cost was about US$700 delivered from Givi North America. Voice (704) 679-4123, Fax (704) 679-04133. For bigger pictures, click on the appropriate title.
